While many actors and actresses have said goodbye to Marvel Studios for good after several years, others have left the door ajar or changed their minds over time. One of the latest stars to do so is Elizabeth Olsenwho, after stating for several months that he had no plans to return, now seems to be reconsidering his decision.
In an interview with FM 104 radio, the actress commented that, although she considers that Wanda Maximoff has been well-used throughout the franchise, it is currently unclear what direction the character will take. However, Olsen has expressed a willingness to return to Marvel if the narrative warrants it.
“It’s a character I love to come back to when there’s a way to use it well and I think I’ve been lucky when I first started that they used me well… and they kind of didn’t know what to do with me for a second! If there’s a good way to use it, I’m always happy to come back.”
It should be noted that Olsen had stated several months ago that she had no intention of returning, as she wanted to explore new experiences in the world of film and television, moving away from the superhero genre. These recent statements suggest that Marvel may have contacted her for future projects.
The future of Marvel Studios could be, in part, in the hands of the Scarlet Witch. In addition to the series Vision Queststarring Paul Bettany, Wanda could play a key role in the upcoming Avengers films, as it is speculated that Doctor Doom will harness the most powerful characters in the MCU to carry out his plan to create Battleworld in Secret Wars.
