Tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has won the US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year. The world number 2 from Belarus was too strong for sixth-seeded American Jessica Pegula in the final in New York. After almost two hours, the set scores were 7-5 and 7-5 on the scoreboard.
For Sabalenka it is her third grand slam title. She previously won the Australian Open twice. Last year she lost the final of the US Open to the American Coco Gauff. Pegula never reached a final at a grand slam tournament before.
