Jerdy Schouten did not think the big win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Nations League (5-2) was only the merit of the Dutch team itself. “Bosnia let us play football in the first half. That sometimes makes things easier. When Bosnia put a bit more pressure forward after the break, it became a bit more difficult,” said the PSV midfielder.
Schouten continued the good line of the EC and the two other midfielders, Tijjani Reijnders and Ryan Gravenberch, also did well. The downside were the two goals against, Schouten thought. “At the first goal we were in the zone. Something went wrong there and we will look into it.”
Schouten shared the opinion that the game of Oranje looked fresher than at the European Championship partly. “That may seem so, but there were also moments today when it looked less fresh.”
