The 3 Aces of the 2024 MXGP World Championship, Gajser, Prado, Herlings, pass in order under the checkered flag of the Qualifying Race. By a small margin, but the rubber band is stretching. In MX2, Liam Everts returns to victory

Afyon, Turkey, September 7. No dramatic twists. On the day that Luna Rossa takes a beating from Britannia in Barcelona, that a non-Razgatlioglu BMW wins in Magny Cours, that Martin beats Bagnaia in the Sprint in Misano, the MXGP Qualifying Race of the Turkish Grand Prix, the third-to-last of the 2024 World Championship, ends in the order of the general World Championship: Tim Gajser, Honda HRC, Jorge Prado, Red Bull GasGas, Jeffrey Herlings, Red Bull KTM. It is clear that everyone’s imperative is not to make mistakes, so as not to exit the scene with a… dramatic twist, but it is above all true that the stability of the results favors, and rewards, the leader.
Aside from the three amigos, there are promising dress rehearsals for the comeback of Romain Febvre, Kaswasaki, and especially Ruben Fernandez, Honda. The second half of the ten attracts attention because it is supposed that there, untouchable or unreachable, the three, that orbit one or two Riders who are candidates to ride the Desmo450 MX Ducati next year, but these are our conjectures.
So it takes MX2 to break the streak of Husqvarna Nestaan. Lucas Coenen was dull in Switzerland, Kay De Wolf was dull in Turkey. In this case, “dull” should be translated as “calmly”, as there is a margin, and among other things the poor performance is due to a too close encounter with Laengenfelder. Liam Everts, Red Bull KTM, wins for the third time, having not won a heat or a Qualifying (in this case coinciding dates) since Maggiora, and before that since Portugal, when the son of art made a clean sweep. Lucas Coenen did well, second, and Mikkel Haarup, Triumph, did very well, having closed the morning operations with the best time of the time trials. Ferruccio Zanchi’s fifth place is very good and promising in terms of prospects, as he is “forming” himself at the Gariboldi Honda HRC court, and Andrea Adamo’s eighth place does not satisfy us, because it makes us reflect on the promise we made ourselves, that is, that the World Champion will end the season with a victory. Sunday will be the “heavyweight” of emotions, certainly!
