Demon Slayer has become one of the most successful shonen anime in recent years. The plot of the work places us in an alternative version of the Taisho era where humans must fight every night against different demons hungry for human flesh. After losing almost his entire family, Tanjiro Kamado, our protagonist, will embark on a journey to find a cure for his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon.
Far from being a burden for our protagonist, Nezuko has managed to move and win the hearts of viewers thanks to her decisions, actions and the enormous sisterly love she feels for Tanjiro. Without her, Demon Slayer would not be the same, and in this article we have decided to pay tribute to her by recalling some of the best moments she has given us throughout the series.

The following lines contain spoilers for the first three seasons of Demon Slayer.
Nezuko helped Tanjiro defeat Rui
Demon Slayer Episode 19 is for many the best episode of the first season and one of the best of all. It masterfully adapted the confrontation between Tanjiro and Rui, one of Muzan’s favorite demons and an enemy who intended to kidnap Nazuko and turn her into his new sister.
During this exciting battle, Nezuko ended up tied up and hanging by the threads that Rui uses to fight. Without giving up and motivated by the words of her deceased mother, the girl used her new powers to throw fire at the enemy and strengthen Tanjiro’s sword enough to decapitate this pesky demon once and for all.
Nezuko resisted eating human flesh
This scene takes place at the end of the first season and is the perfect demonstration of Nezuko’s incredible willpower. In it, Sanemi tried to convince the other hunters that Nezuko was a threat that needed to be exterminated. To get his way, Sanemi went so far as to offer his forearm to Nezuko in front of all his companions, all in order to prove that the young woman was still a demon hungry for human flesh.
The situation caused a tough internal battle between Nezuko and her new instincts. She had the opportunity to feed, however, she managed to control her impulses, leaving Sanemi in the dark and making it clear to the members of the Demon Extermination Corps that she was very different from the rest, and that her greatest desire is to protect and help humans in any way she can.
Nezuko managed to defeat Daki
The ‘Red Light District’ arc, also known as the ‘Entertainment District’, took Tengen Uzui, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Nezuko to a completely new location where none other than Daki, the Upper Sixth Moon, was hiding and an enemy who was quick to show his cruelty to the spectators. Our protagonist had the courage to face this dangerous enemy alone, but sooner rather than later he had to be saved by the youngest member of the Kamado family.
Everyone was shocked when Nezuko revealed an incredible power boost that enhanced her regenerative abilities and brute strength. Our heroine dared to burn Daki alive and even repeatedly stomp on her head to take revenge for the harm she had caused to Tanjiro. Unfortunately, Nezuko’s demonic instincts and the anger that welled up inside her took over, so she had to be urgently stopped by Tanjiro.
Nezuko is immune to sunlight
The third season of Demon Slayer was set this time in a remote village inhabited by blacksmiths who are dedicated to forging and providing weapons to demon hunters. This part of the plot also delved into beloved characters such as Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji, who showed off their incredible skills facing two new Upper Demon Moons. However, the most memorable moment of the season was played by little Nezuko.
The girl decided to sacrifice herself by exposing herself to the light of dawn and moments later made history in the world of Demon Slayer by revealing herself as the only demon created by Muzan capable of remaining under the sun without suffering any harm. This twist surprised a large number of spectators and left Tanjiro speechless, but it also made Nezuko a top priority target for Muzan Kibutsuji.
