Primoz Roglic has taken the lead in the Vuelta. The 34-year-old Slovenian from Red Bull – Bora-hansgrohe won the nineteenth stage from Logroño to the Alto de Moncalvillo over 168.5 kilometers. He finished 46 seconds ahead of the Frenchman David Gaudu and the Dane Mattias Skjelmose.
Roglic more than made up for his five-second deficit to Australian Ben O’Connor in the general classification. The three-time Vuelta winner has a lead of 1.54 minutes over the Australian from Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale and 2.20 over Spaniard Enric Mas with two stages to go.
