Even though Valve’s new MOBA-shooter Deadlock is still in an early stage of development, it’s already starting to reveal some interesting trends in its gameplay. This is thanks to Tracklock.gg, a new website that tracks character pick and win rates, revealing that the most successful hero so far is Seven.
According to the site, Seven has an impressive win rate of 58.90%, the highest in the game.
In addition to his outstanding win rate, Seven also leads in pick rate with 93.26%, meaning he has been picked in over 850,000 matches, accounting for 31% of all matches played so far. This reveals that Seven appears in almost every Deadlock match and often contributes to the winning team.
However, the reason behind Seven’s success according to players is that he is a newbie-friendly hero. Among his skills, Storm Cloud stands out, which deals 124 points of damage per second to enemies in its range, and the Power Surge ability allows his attacks to bounce between multiple opponents, increasing their effectiveness in combat.
On Reddit, players highlight that Seven has an “extremely low skill level” but can significantly influence gameplay. Others describe Seven as a “crutch,” suggesting that even if a player isn’t very skilled or has trouble coordinating with the team, they can simply leave the character AFK and still get good results thanks to their Ultimate.
There are also those who believe that Seven remains very effective even at high levels of play, highlighting the excellent ability of her Ultimate, her performance in the jungle to farm quickly and the significant increase in her stun.
Still, Seven with his 93.26% pick rate isn’t the only popular hero in Deadlock, as Warden ranks second in win rate at 53.26%, while Haze is in third place at 53.17%. Although Warden has the second-highest win rate, his pick rate is only 49.51%, putting him in tenth place in popularity. Haze, meanwhile, has a high pick rate of 92.07%, coming close to Seven’s throne.
Only time will tell how long Seven’s reign will last, as Deadlock is still in development and the game’s dynamics are likely to evolve, leading to changes in character strategies and performance.
Valve’s MOBA shooter Deadlock hits 170,000 simultaneous players on STEAM without even being released yet and adds a new reference to Portal 2
Dubbed “Valve’s secret shooter” as it has not been released and can only be played via invitation, Deadlock has taken the gaming world by storm. This is because the game has surpassed 170,000 simultaneous players on Steam, which demonstrates its growing popularity and the expectations it generates ahead of its release, with a date still unknown.
