Nissan is bringing back the Patrol, but not for the European market. The new generation of the legendary 4×4, now more SUV than off-roader, will be available only in the Middle East, with powerful V6 petrol engines and no electrification.
The new Nissan Patrol stands out from the outside with its imposing dimensions and a square and muscular line. The front features a wider V-shaped grille and three slats that connect to the double “C” LED light signature. The rear lights recall the design of the front lights and the style of the 90s. It comes with 22” alloy wheels as standard and will be available in seven colours, including four new two-tone.
New Nissan Patrol new and old
Inside, the new Nissan Patrol is luxurious and comfortable, with quilted leather seats inspired by handcrafted woodwork, eight-way power adjustment and massage function on some trims. The dashboard hosts a 28.6-inch Monolith display and 14.3-inch screens for instruments and infotainment, with the option of 12.8-inch screens for rear passengers.

Ambient lighting with 64 colors and a panoramic sunroof come standard. A 12-speaker Klipsch audio system and biometric cooling technology are available on top-of-the-line models, with sensors that adjust the air conditioning based on occupant temperature. The third row of seats folds down electrically, creating a flat floor for bulky cargo.
Nissan Patrol Engines
From a technical point of view, the seventh generation Nissan Patrol introduces a new 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, capable of 425 hp and 700 Nm of torque, marking a 7% improvement in power and 25% in torque compared to the previous V8 engine, with greater fuel efficiency.
V6 engine compartment
This engine features a heat-resistant turbocharger and an oil scavenge pump for constant lubrication. Also available is a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 with 316 horsepower and 386 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. As for the ride and performance on low-grip surfaces, the standard adaptive air suspension allows for adjustable ride height and improves aerodynamic efficiency and ease of loading/unloading.
Off road in the desert
The Patrol also features six drive modes (standard, sand, rock, mud/rut, eco and sport) and a 4WD transfer mode interlock system to adapt to various terrains.
Technology and ADAS on the new Patrol
The new Nissan Patrol debuts NissanConnect 2.0 with Google Built-In, integrating navigation, safety and entertainment into one platform. The system, available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, is the first Nissan vehicle in the region with Google Built-In, providing enhanced integration between the vehicle and the customer’s digital life.
The Patrol also introduces ProPILOT technology to the region, combining adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist that adjusts speed based on navigation data.
Head-up display
The Panorama View system includes Ultra-Wide View and Invisible Hood View, with Invisible-to-Visible technology to project real-time images of obstacles and signs. The 3D Around View Monitor provides a 360-degree view, enhancing driver awareness. Additional assistance features include an intelligent rearview mirror, Rear Zoom View, and intelligent emergency braking systems with pedestrian detection and forward collision warning.
For Middle East only
The sad fact is that the Nissan Patrol cannot be purchased in Europe but is only intended for the Middle Eastern markets, namely the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
