Blind Jan takes part in the Vechtdal Cycling Four Days: “I smell the forest and the cow dung”

He smells the forest and the cow dung and feels the Vechtdal wind and the morning mist on his face and hands. Jan Bakker from Hoogeveen is blind, but enjoys the Vechtdal Cycling Four Days to the fullest. On day three of the event, he pedals along on the back of the tandem with his buddy Henk Cnossen. Together with more than a thousand other cyclists, they complete the penultimate stage with flying colors.
