Although Konami has moved away from the traditional development and release model of Pro Evolution Soccer to make way for eFootball, it still has a strong presence in the market and this allows it to sign exclusive agreements with some teams. Sometimes, this translates into certain teams being on one side or the other (EA Sports FC), reducing the realistic component and once again the one that suffers the most is Serie A and its fans.
eFootball confirms Inter Milan and AC Milan as exclusive teams
Through a couple of posts on the official eFootball account, Konami announced that Inter Milan and AC Milan will be exclusives in the game starting with its new season that begins on September 12. In case you didn’t know, the Japanese soccer IP is now a fully online game-as-a-service and works with a season system that updates its content at different times throughout the year.
Inter Milan will be exclusive to eFootball
AC Milan will only be available on eFootball
According to the publications that were also made by the 2 Italian teams, their presence in eFootball will be exclusive, which means that they will not be available in EA Sports FC 25. In this case, the EA game will have both teams, but with generic names and uniforms, without an official stadium, although with real player names.
Given the recent announcements, Serie A in eFootball will feature Inter Milan, AC Milan, SS Lazio and Atalanta exclusively, while these teams will be presented in a generic way in EA Sports FC 25. In exchange, the EA franchise will have AS Roma for itself and will see the return of Napoli. However, in both cases the Italian league will be incomplete, which is bad news for fans of this European competition.
