Just a few hours ago, the free PlayStation Plus games for the month of September were revealed, so you’d better hurry up in the last few days to claim LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach and Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights in case you haven’t already. So now it’s time to focus on what’s happening with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, whose catalogue is just a few weeks away from being updated. And something really curious has happened with the titles that were announced last month.
According to data provided by TrueTrophies, there is one PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game that has managed to surpass The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, which was expected to be the strongest game of the month of August. It is Cult of the Lamb, which generated a substantial increase in players with 338.81%. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, meanwhile, experienced a growth of 130.93%. A result that gives it 55.4% more players compared to The Witcher III in the same period.
Cult of the Lamb has thus managed to rise to the top of the list as the most popular PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium video game for the month of August. And no wonder, as it was listed as one of the most desired games by the subscription service community.
12 games are leaving the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogue
An important fact about the changes that will affect PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in September is the departure of 12 games from the subscription catalogue, which have recently been included in the Last Chance to Play section.
Horizon Forbidden WestMarvel’s Midnight SunsDragon Ball Xenoverse 2Alien: IsolationNier: ReplicantSpiritfarerCloudpunkStar Ocean: The Divine ForceStar Ocean: Integrity and FaithlessnessStar Ocean: Till the End of TimeStar Ocean: First Departure RStar Ocean: The Last Hope
These titles will be available until September 17, leaving just a few weeks to enjoy them before they are removed. Particularly surprising is the removal of Horizon Forbidden West, a PlayStation exclusive. It is speculated that this decision could be related to the high cost of maintaining such a large title within the subscription service.
