We had already taken it for granted, now it’s official. Somkiat Chantra moves to LCR and therefore to MotoGP from 2025. He will be the first Thai rider in MotoGP, coming from Moto2.
For every Asian who arrives, another one leaves. The one who leaves is Takaaki Nakagami. The Japanese rider, in a beautiful video on Instagram, retraced his seven years in MotoGP, in which he took a pole position and was very close to the podium.
For Nakagami the role will now be HRC test rider, therefore alongside Aleix Espargaro.
