If you’ve been following the rumors and speculations that have been circulating for at least the past year, you probably haven’t missed the discussion about a more powerful iteration of the Playstation 5 – the Playstation 5 Pro. That in the name of handling games that seem to be getting heavier, the Playstation 5 Pro will come with a lot of more capable technological support, including a DLSS-class solution and a better ray-tracing implementation in it. But despite all this discussion, its existence is still questionable considering Playstation’s more silent reaction. Now, information comes from a well-known leaker.
With the accuracy of leaked information that has a high percentage of accuracy for everything related to Sony and Playstation, the famous leaker – BillBil-kun finally spoke about the Playstation 5 Pro. He believes this product will maintain the name style of the previous generation – Playstation 5 Pro, with a design similar to the regular version but now with three sharp black lines in the middle of the cover which remains white. The Playstation 5 Pro is said to be slightly thicker than the Slim version, with an extra 2 USB-C ports on the front.
BillBil-kun also mentioned that the leaked version of the Playstation 5 Pro that he had seen was unfortunately only a version without a blu-ray tray, aka a digital version. For now, he does not know whether the disc version will be available or like the Slim version, gamers will later be able to use a separate blu-ray. He even believes that Sony will announce the Playstation 5 Pro in the near future, in the first 2 weeks of September 2024.
