The boy also threatened the sisters
Rome, 18 August – In the last few days, the State Police officers of the Lazio Crime Prevention Unit, of the Borgo police station, of the Monte Mario police station and of the XIII Aurelio District have arrested a 22-Year-Old Italian Seriously Indicted for Family Abuse.
Following a report of a family fight, the police arrived on site and found that the 22-year-old, with drug addiction problems, returned home visibly drunk and started to ask his mother for money by insulting her and her sisters.
Upon entering the house, the boy kicked the door, breaking the glass, at which point the father intervened, triggering the reaction of his son who punched him in the face. The boy’s threats became increasingly serious, making it necessary for the State Police to intervene. The parents told the officers that they were worried about their safety following these episodes and, at the end of the ritual activities, the police arrested the 22-year-old.
The Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office requested and obtained from the Preliminary Investigations Judge the validation of the arrest and the application of pre-trial detention in prison.
For the sake of accuracy, and to protect those under investigation, we remind you that an accusation is not equivalent to a conviction, that evidence is gathered in court and that the Italian judicial system provides for three levels of judgement.
