Skeleton Crew and Jude Law’s statements

Jude Law hints that in the upcoming Star Wars TV show, Skeleton Crew, There’s more to his Jedi than you think

A recent interview with Jude Law of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew revealed that the new Star Wars show could feature a mysterious Jedi who is much more than meets the eye. Skeleton Crew will be the next addition to the Star Wars canon films and television shows, and the trailer for Skeleton Crew has already revealed how revolutionary the show will be in the Star Wars franchise. From an Earth-like planet to a fascinating coming-of-age story, Skeleton Crew will really bring something new to the Star Wars timeline. However, Jude Law just revealed that the show’s new Jedi will be pretty exciting.

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes TV, shared on YouTube, Jude Law explained a lot more about his character Skeleton Crew, called Jod Na Nawood. Although little has been shared about the show, this interview confirmed that Law’s character is indeed full of mystery, as Law explained:

“So, I play a character named… Jod. Well, that’s one of their names. It’s someone they know who is there to try and help them get back to their home planet. And you never know if he’s trustworthy or not, if he’s on one side or the other… You never really know.”

“But, ultimately, he is part of the crew. Some want it to be a part of it, others don’t. I can’t reveal too much. I will say that it is full of contradictions.”

Both Law’s notable hesitation around his character’s name and his cautious explanation of the role he plays in the show suggest there’s a lot more to Jod Na Nawood, and that likely means a very exciting future for Skeleton Crew.

Jude Law’s Jedi hides his true identity

In his interview with Rotten Tomatoes TV, Jude Law was clearly hesitant to say his character’s name, suggesting that he’s hiding his true identity in the series. Presumably, Jod Na Nawood is simply an alias, which is reinforced by Law’s explanation that Nawood is just one of the character’s names. However, this could mean something particularly exciting for Star Wars in general.

Specifically, Jude Law’s character may be using an alias to hide his true Jedi name, which viewers themselves might know. From the very beginning, Star Wars has been a franchise built on incredible plot twists and shocking revelations. Clearly, this is still common practice in Star Wars, as recent shows like The Acolyte have continued to implement plot twists in major ways. It is assumed that Skeleton Crew will continue to develop this tradition even further.

Skeleton Crew It develops simultaneously with The Mandalorianwhich makes it even more curious that Jod Na Nawood appears to be a Jedi and could evidently already be known in the franchise. While it seems unlikely given the timeline, Jod Na Nawood could be one of the survivors of Order 66 who was very young when the Jedi Order fell. Alternatively, Nawood could be a canon or Legends Jedi operating alone during the early New Republic era.

Of course, this is all speculative, but Jude Law’s interview certainly makes these exciting theories seem possible. Regardless of Jod Na Nawood’s true identity, however, it’s clear that this new Star Wars show will be an exciting addition to the franchise. In fact, with just a couple more months until the launch of Star Wars: Skeleton Crewthis Star Wars show just keeps getting more exciting.
