One of the best parts of the gaming industry over the past decade has to be the indie scene. With so many platforms facilitating the release of these small developers, we’ve been exposed to a lot of really cool but risky games that would never come from a big publisher that had to calculate their potential for financial success. These fantastic indie games have also continued to grow and develop, rather than settling into a single era. One that’s worth looking out for? Of course – The Plucky Squire.
Coming with a super unique visual quality that makes you feel like you are diving into a storybook with all its adventures and craziness, The Plucky Squire does look tempting. The game, created by a developer called All Possible Futures under Devolver Digital, will ask you to play as Jot and his friends, who discover that there is a mysterious three-dimensional world that exists outside the storybook world where he lives. Of course, Jot’s heroic story will have its main antagonist, who will be played by Humgrump who managed to change the ending of the storybook that should have been happy.
The Plucky Squire will be released on September 17, 2024 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and of course – PC. Playstation Plus Extra and Premium gamers will also be able to play this game in their catalog from day one of release. What about you? Are you looking forward to this game?
