Realme, in its quest to become the global leader in fast charging, has announced a new technology called 320W SuperSonic Charge. The company has demonstrated that the “super charger” can fully charge a smartphone in just four minutes and 30 seconds.
In just one minute, the 320W charger can charge a device up to 26% and it takes less than two minutes to reach over 50% charge.
These speeds are possible thanks to two innovations announced at an event in Shenzhen, China. Realme managed to increase the power of its 240W charger, launched last year, to 320W in the recent announcement, but without increasing the size of the device.
Early last year, Realme introduced the GT Neo 5 which, at the time, was the fastest charging smartphone available, with a 240W capacity, capable of fully recharging its 4,600 mAh battery in nine and a half minutes.

Super charger fits smartphones and laptops
The new charger, called Pocket Cannon, now features two USB-C ports, offering 150W of power for Realme smartphones and 65W for devices like laptops. Additionally, Realme has introduced a new 4,420mAh battery with four individual cells, which can be charged simultaneously and adapt to the size of the smartphone. While Apple and Samsung use single-cell batteries for higher capacity, companies like OnePlus and Realme opt for dual-cell batteries to enable faster charging times.
