Camila Mendes has landed a leading role in the upcoming Masters of the Universe film. The actress, known for her role as Veronica in the series Riverdale, will play the character Teela. Mendes will star in the film alongside Nicholas Galitzine, who will play He-Man.
The film is based on the franchise from toy manufacturer Mattel, which focuses on the hero He-Man in his battle against the villain Skeletor. An animated series and several other film and television adaptations have already been made.
Little is known about the plot of the upcoming film. Travis Knight is directing. The film is scheduled for release in June 2026.
