Pergine, Trento – For a few days, a motorcycle had been speeding through the streets of some towns in Alta Valsugana, causing concern among residents. From the first reports, the motorcycle seemed to have no license plate, making it impossible to identify the motorcyclist. For this reason, the officers of the Alta Valsugana Local Police had activated a series of control points, with the aim of stopping the driver.
In recent days, officers noticed a suspicious motorcycle coming toward the point where one of the patrols had stopped for its service. The officers therefore prepared to stop the vehicle.
When the officers noticed the motorcyclist, he tried to hide by following a car to avoid attracting attention. However, when he realized that the order to stop was addressed to him, he initially slowed down, then activated a mechanism that tilted the license plate (we imagine towards the tail) making it illegible, and then fled at full speed.
This time, however, things did not go smoothly. One of the officers managed to read the license plate before it was hidden, also recognizing some facial features of the driver. Thanks to these details, the motorcyclist was quickly identified and then fined, after admitting his responsibilities.
