August weekend on track for MotoGP riders and also for Alex Rins, forced to miss the last two Grand Prix due to his physical condition after the accident suffered in Assen. The Spanish Yamaha rider will be riding at the Red Bull Ring, after being forced to withdraw two weeks ago in Great Britain.
“I was very disappointed not to be able to race at Silverstone, but I used that moment to be even more motivated to come back stronger in Spielberg,” Alex said. “I’ve also been training on the bike and I’ve been in contact with the doctors throughout the process. I feel good, so I’m excited to get back on my M1.”
In the box he will find Fabio Quartararo, committed to raising Yamaha’s fortunes in this moment of crisis.
“We have a busy period ahead of us and that is good for us,” explained the Frenchman. “The feeling over the Silverstone weekend was not the best, so there is work to do and the more laps we can do the better. We will do what we always do this year: try some new things, collect data and give 100% in the Sprint and the race.”
