From China come the photos of what at first glance would seem to be a new MV Agusta Superveloce. But no! It is the new QJ SRK 921 SV. But let’s take a step back: at Eicma 2023 at the QJMotor stands there were the SRK 800 RR, now SRK 921 RR, and the SRK 1000 RC. Their design, modern and with sharp lines, is the result of the work of the C Creative style center, led by Adrian Morton and Paolo Bianchi (ex MV Agusta), students of the famous Massimo Tamburini. Now, in August 2024, the “stolen” photos of the prototype of the new QJMotor SRK 921 SV have appeared in China.
Apparently still in the prototype stage, the alleged SRK 921 SV was photographed in a workshop in China. Unlike the already known SRK 921 RR and SRK 1000 RK models, the SRK 921 SV features a very…MV Agusta design. Its lines are very similar to those of the Superveloce (find the photos in the gallery, for a comparison): retro fairing with soft lines, round LED headlights, single-sided swingarm and four-cylinder in-line engine. This is the engine that already powers the SRK 921 RR put on sale at the beginning of 2024, so far only in China. 921 cc of displacement, bore and stroke of 73 x 55 mm respectively and compression ratio of 13.0:1. On the RR, this engine is capable of delivering a maximum power of 129 hp at 10,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 93 Nm at 8,000 rpm. We therefore expect similar performance for the new SRK 921 RR.
We just have to wait the next few months to see if the new QJMotor SRK 921 SV will hit the market.
