Spinda’s different forms cause a lot of headaches for players who want to get all the different Pokémon within its species.

Pokémon is one of the most successful franchises in the history of video games, and the arrival of Pokémon Legends ZA is already expected, which will lay the foundations for the future of the series when it is released at some point to be determined in 2025. It is also said that there are up to three projects in development for Nintendo Switch 2, so there is still plenty of room for growth. However, none of these titles seem to put an end to the frustration of many players who cannot get their hands on all of the Pokémon species available.
As our colleagues at 3DJuegos remember, there is one Pokémon in particular that prevents this task of collecting. As you know, within a species of Pokémon there are different forms for the same, either due to its sex, transformations or small details that differentiate it from other creatures of the same condition. However, the most special of all of them is Spinda, whose pattern of spots is completely different for each appearance, with up to 4,294,967,296 different versions. An absolute, unattainable madness.
In order to collect all the existing versions of Spinda, a Pokémon player would have to invest around 102 quadrillion years, according to teammates’ calculations, to be able to collect them all. An impossible task for any one person, so the most ardent collectors have given up the search and have resigned themselves to the simple idea of being able to have all the different Pokémon that exist in the world.
Pokémon Legends ZA’s release could be further away than expected
The Pokémon Trading Card Game typically aligns with the releases of mainline games, offering related content in the months following their release. However, the latest leaks indicate that upcoming card packs will focus on existing games and experiences, which could be the norm for a while.
This approach suggests that Pokémon Legends ZA might not launch in early 2025, as some had hoped. Instead, its arrival could be delayed until November, a key month for the franchise. If this scenario comes to pass, fans could face a two-year period without a new mainline Pokémon title, something unusual for the series. Despite this, it’s important to consider these projections as speculative until an official announcement is made.
