The first day of racing at Portimao ended with Toprak Razgatlioglu once again unbeatable. After taking pole this morning, the Turk also won Race 1, bringing his winning streak in SBK to 11, equaling two sacred monsters of the category such as Alvaro Bautista and Jonathan Rea. Today, however, Toprak was sweating coldly, especially at the end of the race, because after a furious comeback, Bautista himself became threatening.
If today we witnessed another performance to frame by Toprak, it is equally true that Bautista seems to have returned as the Turk’s number 1 rival. We must not forget the beautiful podium by Danilo Petrucci. Petrux also worried Toprak for more than half the race, not accepting to sell his skin easily. After a nice duel, he had to leave room for the Turk who flew towards this umpteenth success.
