Once there, Sacyl’s medical staff confirmed the driver’s death.
His club has shared a farewell message through its social networks:
“There are no words to express what the CD Santa Croya family feels at this moment. Hearing the news of the premature and tragic loss of our colleague and friend Omar is something that makes our hearts shrink to limits we never wanted to reach.
A player of our club, but above all, Omar, you were a friend and a person with a whole life ahead of him and whose memory will always be with us. Every game, every victory, every goal will have a look towards heaven and will be for you.
Zamora football, our dressing room and all the people who knew you, loved you and will always love you now have a void that will be impossible to fill again.
Only those who are forgotten leave. And we assure you, Omar, that we will never forget you.
Eternal 8.
DEP Friend”.
