In order to create more equality on set, Jamie Lee Curtis wants crew members to wear name tags when filming her films. According to the actress, this would eliminate the hierarchy that supposedly exists on set.
“There’s something unequal in our business about our position on set,” Curtis says on fellow actor Kevin Hart’s Gold Minds podcast. “You know our names, but we don’t know yours. I find that unequal in some ways. When we’re all working together on a film set, we should all wear name tags so I can say, ‘Good morning Sabine,’ first thing in the morning without having to remember her name.”
The 65-year-old American thinks it is important to create an equal working atmosphere when making films or TV series. “It is art, there is no hierarchy in art. It should just be a group of people.”
