Vinicius Junior has warned rivals that his partnership with Kylian Mbappe will be “brutal” as the Frenchman prepares for his debut season at the Real Madrid.
Mbappe’s arrival in the Spanish capital was announced earlier this summer after the former Paris Saint-Germain star ended his seven-year spell with the Ligue 1 side. The French club’s all-time leading scorer now joins the likes of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
Vinicius is keen to explore a partnership with Mbappe. The Brazilian has revealed his desire to play together and score goals in the 2024/25 campaign in an interview with club media.
“It’s going to be brutal”he claimed. ““Everyone expects us to do great things this season. We have to take care of him and we are doing everything we can to help him adapt as quickly as possible because it is always very complicated to come to another club.”.
“But we’ve already done it with Jude, who arrived last season and shone, so hopefully we can spend a lot more time with Kylian. Endrick is also coming, he’s very young but he already has it in his head that he can help us when we need him.”
“I want to win more titles than last season, score more goals, give more assists and continue to develop because I’m only 24 years old. I’ve been here for six years now. It’s time to come back and be focused because the first game is already a final for us, we’re preparing and waiting for the players who are left so that this season is like the last.”
Madrid will face Serie A side Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14, before looking ahead to the LaLiga season opener on August 18 in Mallorca.
