Tony Cairoli will be the one to bring Ducati to its debut in the Motocross World Championship. The nine-time world champion will compete with the Desmo450 MX in the Dutch Grand Prix, which will be held on August 17 and 18 on the Arnhem track.
A participation that represents a historic debut for Ducati, as well as an important step in the development of the Borgo Panigale bike, which will participate in the entire MXGP World Championship in 2025. The year in which it will also go into production, marking the entry of the Bologna manufacturer into the specialist off-road segment.
The development program of the Desmo450 MX will continue on August 31st and September 1st in Castiglione del Lago, the fifth race of the Italian Championship, where Alessandro Lupino leads the general classification with two rounds to go, after the brilliant results obtained in the last round of the Italian MX Championship in Ponte a Egola.
An event, the one in Tuscany, which saw Cairoli win the first heat, on his return to racing, and Alessandro Lupino take the lead in the championship, conquering the overall and thus confirming the level of competitiveness already reached by the Desmo450 MX.
