Although House of the Dragon is currently one of Max’s top series, it still has a long way to go to catch up with Game of Thrones in terms of followers and views. The adaptation of George RR Martin’s work was a resounding success and its actors reached the top during the past decade, but this project left its mark on several of them.
One of them is Kit Haringtonwho played the unbreakable Jon Snow for all eight seasons of the series. His exhaustion from Game of Thrones It got to the point where he now has no desire to see any product related to this franchise, including The House of the Dragon.

This weariness with one of the most successful series in history is not something that has only happened to Harrington; Emilia Clarkewho played Daenerys Targaryen in the series, also commented that she was unable to watch the new series of the franchise because she felt quite strange watching a project from the same universe in which she was not involved.
The franchise Game of Thrones has become one of the great flagships of HBO and Max this last decade, so much so that the company plans to squeeze the most out of this universe. And it’s not us who are saying this, but George RR Martin, who confirmed several days ago that there are already seven series in the development process based on his work.
