Capcom blew us away last March with the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2, an open-world RPG with an interesting story, lots of exploration and secrets, and a combat system that lets you climb up on top of the biggest enemies to stab them mercilessly.
The classes of Dragon’s Dogma 2called Vocations, allow us to specialize in a playstyle, from classic warriors and mages to archers and illusionists. Unfortunately, Capcom has not released any updates, DLCs and/or expansions to expand the content with quests and classes, so the modding community has taken up the task.
The Forbidden Samurai Vocation mod by FilmArtMods adds a new Vocation that allows us to play as samurai and ninjas. Its creator was inspired by Final Fantasy and Ghost of Tsushima to create the different combat styles and the entire visual section.
Seek the light within, or be the fear within your shadows. A versatile warrior, skilled in the techniques of forgotten samurai and exiled ninja. Imbued with the power of the forbidden arts, this warrior seeks only freedom through the imprisonment of his own rage.
The Vocation features three styles: samurai techniques (aggressive combat), ninja techniques (evasion and dodging), and forbidden arts (magic); and the use of two-handed weapons is recommended. Each has a ton of skills, some physical and others that use natural elements, such as fire and thunder. There are also mobility and exploration skills. We recommend checking out the mod’s page for several videos.
