Walt Disney Company’s streaming service costs will rise later this year
Disney announced that the costs of Disney+, Hulu y ESPN+ will increase in the United States by the end of this year.
Prices are rising again
In a statement, the company said the new prices will go into effect on October 17. The company’s announcement includes both ad-supported and ad-free plans.
The price of Disney+ with ads will increase by $2 per month, so it will now cost $9.99. The ad-free version, meanwhile, will cost $15.99, up $2 from the current price.
As for Hulu, the ad-supported platform will also go up by $2 per month, reaching $9.99; while the ad-free version will now cost $18.99. ESPN+ will go up by $1, meaning its price will now be $11.99.
The plan that includes Disney+ and Hulu with ads will go from $9.99 per month to $10.99. The ad-free premium version of the same plan will remain at $19.99 per month, with no price change. The ad-supported Hulu + Live TV plan will go from $76.99 to $82.99; while the ad-free plan will go from $89.99 to $95.99.
On the other hand, the company commented that it will offer all Disney+ subscribers access to the news channel. ABC News Livewhich is active 24 hours a day.
Although the increases will occur in the United States, it is only a matter of time before the changes in the platforms of the House of Mouse reach more territories.
