Netflix is preparing a 2025 that promises to be tremendously successful. In addition to the second season of One Piece and the end of Squid Game, the company will release the second season of one of the most watched series on the entire platform: Wednesday.
After a fun first season, the new episodes will take a 180-degree turn to focus on what really stands out about the Addams family: horror. This was revealed by Jenna Ortega in an interview with the American media Vanity Fair, assuring that there will be a much more terrifying approach in this second season.
“I think we’re going to be a little bit more horror-inspired. It doesn’t mean we’re suddenly the goriest show ever. I mean, there are six-year-olds watching us. Now we’re doing this thing where Wednesday just shows up. She’s kind of scary herself.”
Ortega wanted to emphasize that this new approach does not mean that from one moment to the next Wednesday will not only become an odyssey of horror, blood and scares, but it will be something more disturbing and bizarre than what was seen in the first season of the series.
To do so, he referred to The Mask of the Red Death, a cult horror film that has become a reference for many authors of the genre and which aims to be the clearest inspiration on the part of Tim Burton for the second season of Miércoles, which is scheduled to premiere next year.
