The exhibition of the 10 most representative helmets of the brand from 1996 to 2012 at the MotoGP Vip VillageTM tells the story of Nolan’s journey in MotoGPTM, made of passion for competitions and excellence in the creation of increasingly safe and technologically advanced helmets.
A significant path, which has grown with the evolution of MotoGPTM, of which Nolan shares the ethical and sporting values and which captures some of the most intense racing moments and anecdotes of the official riders throughout their careers: Dani Pedrosa’s 1996 N-92 (crash), Carlos Checa’s 1998 N-92 (crash), Carlos Checa’s 2001 X-901 (Jerez crash), Toni Elias’s 2002 X-902, Dani Pedrosa’s 2003 N-93, Chaz Davies’s 2005 N-94 (Estoril crash), Casey Stoner’s 2006 N-94 (crash), Jorge Lorenzo’s 2007 X-801 RR Golden Edition, Jorge Lorenzo’s 2011 X-802 Black Mamba and Casey Stoner’s 2012 X-802 R (signed on the helmet). visor).
An important history on display and a future full of new arrivals for Nolan, which at Silverstone captures the attention of enthusiasts and the media with the unveiling of an X-804 RS UC in a super exclusive 75th Anniversary livery. The construction excellence and stylistic elegance expressed by this edition in gold-white-black graphics, with the number 75 and the years 1949 and 2024, outline the first elements of a Nolan collection that, starting from 2025, will aim for a renewed and elegant brand identity expressed by innovative content for the world of helmets.
Three unique pieces made with the 75th Anniversary livery will be donated to equally special initiatives, including the online auction whose proceeds will go to Two Wheels for Life to raise funds to support medical assistance and life-saving programs in African countries supported by the organization.
During the press conference held in Silverstone, Enrico Pellegrino, CEO and General Manager of Nolangroup, stated: “We are proud to celebrate this special Anniversary together with Dorna and those present. Many shared values, including passion, constant effort and commitment to achieving increasingly ambitious goals, a long story to tell and the representation of excellence in the world of two wheels. We do so by bringing a fragment of our history here to Silverstone, exhibiting 10 helmets that have written the history of racing and showing a taste of what our future brand and product identity will be, through an exclusive graphic interpretation of the 75th MotoGPTM Anniversary. The helmet is not only a fundamental accessory for the safety of pilots and motorcyclists, but also a way to represent and communicate one’s style. It always has been, and always will be.”
Dan Rossomondo, CCO of Dorna Sports: “We are proud to celebrate the history of MotoGP™ with our partners and to be able to share this exhibition with our media and guests this weekend. It is fantastic to see the evolution and innovation of these products, which give us a real insight into the progress of the sport in so many different areas. By its very nature, the sport is forward-looking, but every step forward must be built on good foundations. That in itself is important to celebrate. We thank Nolan for bringing these helmets to this exhibition and sharing a part of their history with us, and we hope our guests enjoy seeing these pieces of history up close.”
