Ducatis fly: Bastianini dominates over Martin at Silverstone, double win. Third Bagnaia, then Marquez. Aprilia forced to mount the hard front tire after a pole that promised everything: only sixth Espargaro preceded by Diggia. Bad KTM, worse Yamaha and Honda
August 5, 2024
This evening, a lot to analyze for our trio: Zam, Bernardelle and Nico. The eight Ducatis in the top ten are the picture of a… monopoly, but this time Enea prevails. How did this masterpiece come about, why did Martin have to give in and why did Pecco lose so much ground (and thus also the championship lead)? Our Eng will clarify with the testimony of Zam who follows the GP in the pit lane (how many reporters can do that?).
Aprilia disappoints with Aleix after demolishing the qualifying record, Vinales tarnished by problems, the two satellite bikes out immediately. Too bad, but KTM does worse: Binder ko, Acosta and Miller in difficulty, something has jammed. No sign of recovery from the two Japanese. Marc Marquez – still a protagonist for better or for worse – falls in the sprint and conditions his weekend. He remains the fastest with the GP23 (even if Diggia almost catches him) but his attitudes are debatable: why does he insist on the role of the “bad guy”? Is it strategy or necessity?
Then Dixon’s success in Moto2 in the home GP (with Vietti on the podium!), Ortola’s in Moto3 (fifth Nepa in the sprint!), the most beautiful celebratory liveries, the presentation of the Austrian GP on 16/18 August and space for your curiosities. Don’t miss this evening’s appointment at 6 pm on the website and on the Ruetir YT channel!
