In the Marvel Universe, we find multiple characters who have extremely impressive (and in some cases even somewhat bizarre) healing powers, which allow them to stay alive during their battles. Some examples are none other than Wolverine, Deadpool, Hulk, and the character we will talk about in this post: Galacta, the daughter of Galactus.
In a comic from several years ago, it is revealed how Galacta’s healing factor works, which turns out to be somewhat disturbing, although quite different from that of her father, Galactus the Devourer of Worlds, since she feeds on alien life and viruses that have infected humans, instead of devouring planets as her progenitor does. Galacta has a rather peculiar healing power (which could take a dark turn)
Galactus’ daughter, Galacta, has a healing power that is quite strange and could have taken a dark turn in the Marvel Universe.
As mentioned above, the daughter of Galactus, Galacta feeds on viruses, diseases, and other alien life forms that have infected humans, scanning them and subsequently ingesting them without the humans they have infected even noticing.
This is evidenced in volume #2 of the Marvel Assistant-Sized Spectacular comic, where Galacta scans a human who has been infected by a Skrull virus that Earthly doctors could not detect, subsequently proceeding to consume the virus.
While his healing power might seem like a good thing, considering he’s saving humans from alien diseases and infections, the fact that they aren’t aware of it is what makes his way of obtaining energy quite bizarre.
It should be noted, however, that the real dark twist surrounding her healing powers might have come after it was revealed in the one-shot comic Galacta: Daughter of Galactus that the girl was pregnant, causing her usually controllable hunger to increase, also increasing the risk of her losing control and consuming the entire planet.
Fortunately, so far, the descendant of Galactus has not attempted to devour any planet, although there is no doubt that she could have caused great chaos in the Marvel Universe with her peculiar and unusual healing factor.
