A large number of Dutch celebrities can be found on the Amsterdam canals on Saturday afternoon for the annual Canal Parade. They dance on one of the eighty boats or follow the spectacle from the side.
The AVROTROS and RTL boats mainly feature many celebrities. AVROTROS has Eva Jinek, Claudia de Breij, Rik van de Westelaken and Marlijn Weerdenburg on board, among others. Hanna van Vliet, MEROL, Stefania and Rikkie Kollé are also on board. RTL has Gerard Joling, Patty Brard, Peter van der Vorst, Renze Klamer, Soy Kroon, Loiza Lamers and Kees Tol on board, among others.
The various boats also feature many performances by well-known artists, such as Kaleen on the AVROTROS vessel. She represented Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year. Former Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst will also be there again this year. Girl group K3 will also perform.

The Canal Parade, part of Pride, is being organised for the 27th time. The boats sail from the Oosterdok, via the Nieuwe Herengracht, Amstel and Prinsengracht towards the Westerdok. Many people are standing along the side and residents have decorated their canal houses with rainbow colours.
This year’s theme is #TOGETHER, with which the parade aims to draw attention to the fight for equal rights for the rainbow community.
