Aprilia showed up at the event with the historic liveries of the 75th anniversary with the “Perla Nera” livery, inspired by the Aprilia RSV 250 of 1994, 1995 and 1996.
This livery is historically linked to Max Biaggi who dominated the 250cc World Championship from 1994 to 1996, winning three consecutive 250cc world titles.
The legendary “Black Pearl” left an indelible mark on motorcycling in the 90s, becoming an icon for all motorcycle enthusiasts thanks also to some unique technical features of that bike such as the carbon swingarm, carbon rims and a wonderful mirror-polished aluminum frame.
“30 years after my first World Championship with Aprilia, seeing that bike with the “Black Pearl” livery is an incredible emotion,” said Max Biaggi. “It’s a mix of gratification and romance. We lived that part of our lives together, Aprilia and I, dominating the Championship from 1994, the year of the Corsair, for the three following years. A livery that has remained in the hearts of all the fans even after 30 years, it’s truly a great emotion.”
