West Ham are set to begin talks with Manchester United over a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka after failing to land Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui.
According to Sky Sports, Wan-Bissaka’s future at Old Trafford is unclear. The right-back could still leave despite joining the team’s pre-season tour of the United States.
West Ham are looking to strengthen their right-back position in the ongoing transfer window. The London club previously tried to sign Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich but were unable to reach an agreement with the player.
This situation has led them to direct their interest in Wan-Bissaka at Manchester United. Previously, Mazraoui was reported to be more interested in continuing his career at Old Trafford. This condition could be a trigger for a deal involving the three clubs.
If the Hammers can reach an agreement with Man United and Wan-Bissaka, then the Red Devils could use the proceeds from that sale to bring in Mazraoui as a replacement.
Previously, MU management was also said to be interested in negotiating with Inter regarding Denzel Dumfries. But this also depends on whether the Italian football giant can accept a player exchange offer involving Wan-Bissaka.
