Indonesian national team U19 successfully qualified for the semifinals of the AFF Cup after defeating Timor Leste, Tuesday (23/7). Indra Sjafri praised the performance of Jens Raven who successfully scored two goals and one assist in this match.
“There was something positive that Jens Raven showed in this match. We played him according to the initial plan. We have also conveyed this to him. He needs to adapt,” said Indra Sjafri as reported by Goal Indonesia.
“Jens is also not a selfish player. He could have scored a hat-trick, but he chose to provide an assist to Arkhan Kaka,” he added.
The Indonesian national team seemed to have dominated the match from the start, they successfully won 6-2 thanks to goals from Kadek Arel, Arkhan Kaka, Muhamad Kafiatur, Oscar’s own goal and two goals from Jens Raven. Meanwhile, the opponent only replied through Ricardo Rorinho and Alexandro Bahkito.
After this match, the Indonesian U19 national team will immediately prepare to play the semifinal match which will take place on Friday, July 26. Garuda Nusantara will challenge the winner of group C, namely between Malaysia or Thailand.
