Cerveteri, July 23, 2024 – Today, Tuesday, July 23, the first Youth City Council of Cerveteri will be established. On the agenda of the first session, the validation of the elected and the election of the President and Vice President. The session, called for 6:00 pm at the Granarone Council Chamber, follows the electoral consultation held last Saturday, June 29.
“The Youth City Council – declared the Mayor of Cerveteri Elena Gubetti – was a point of our electoral program and on which we began to work immediately in a choral manner, thanks to the support of the Board, the City Councilors, our offices and above all by those who will be the protagonists of the City Council, namely the young people of our city, first of all the Delegate Christian Matilli, who created a truly very operational working group”.
“We consider the Youth City Council a fundamental participation tool within our city, especially in this particular historical context in which disaffection towards politics in general has reached an all-time high – added Mayor Elena Gubetti – youth interest and participation has instead been very strong in Cerveteri: we had an extremely active electoral contest, full of initiatives and projects and above all, based on mutual respect. The goal of the Youth City Council is to give them the right space to express their needs on issues related to their age group and bring to my and the Council’s attention those topics that are of greatest interest to them. I am certain that from their energy and their desire to be active protagonists within our city, we will have not only a great contribution but also a lot to learn. Good work guys!”.
The Youth City Council, composed of 15 seats in total, is divided as follows: in the “Onda Nuova” List, ten councilors were elected, namely Francesca Mastroiaco, Alessandro Maria Panizza, Francesco Canicossa, Mario Savarese, Eleonora Luciano, Daniele Donnini, Giulia Di Marco, Fabio Pilia, Sofia Chiappini and Lorenzo Grazioli. The “Regeneration Cerveteri” list instead obtained 5 seats, namely those of Christian Matilli, Irene De Santis, Roberto Leporani, Sara Mundula and Leonardo Corcioni.
