South Korean girl group BLACKPINK will embark on a world tour next year, YG Entertainment, the group’s record label, has announced.
“There will be a long-awaited comeback of BLACKPINK and it is also the year that BLACKPINK will embark on a world tour,” the label’s boss said in a video on YouTube. Specific dates and locations for the tour were not shared.
Late last year, it was announced that BLACKPINK had signed a new contract with YG Entertainment. The members’ contracts had already expired in August and since then, there has been a lot of speculation about the group’s future.
BLACKPINK’s most recent album was released in 2022. That same year, the K-pop group also visited the Netherlands with its world tour.
