American celebrities are rallying behind Joe Biden after he nominated his Vice President Kamala Harris as the new Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential race. Comedian Rosie O’Donnell is among those looking forward to Harris becoming the first female president of the United States.
“Thank you Joe Biden – Let’s goooo #vote #harris #giveenergy,” O’Donnell wrote under an image of Biden’s statement declaring his withdrawal from the race.
Yvette Nicole Brown, who gained fame for her role in the sitcom Community, is already busy campaigning for Harris on X. “Be warned: if you come here with anything other than ‘Let’s go! #TeamHarris!, I will block you on the spot,” she says on X. All her subsequent messages are indeed about Harris as a possible new presidential candidate.
Award-winning film director Spike Lee, whose films include BlacKkKlansman, supports Harris. He shares a photo of Harris on Instagram.
