One day before departure to the training camp in Bad Waltersdorf (Austria), 1. FC Köln has another test match to play: On Saturday, they will face Viktoria Köln in the Sportpark Höhendorf.
Just one day after the 3-0 victory against Belgian first division club VV St. Truiden, the coaching team led by Gerhard Struber is offering their players another chance to show off against a strong opponent.
Struber can be very satisfied with the preparation so far. With four wins from four games, Effzeh is making a good impression just two weeks before the second division opener against HSV.
“We really took Truiden’s enthusiasm away and were really good and unconditional. We always had the steering wheel in our hands and are stable. It was a good next step that shows that we are a bit further ahead than before and are already doing quite well with some things,” said Struber, drawing a positive conclusion after the test on Friday (via Bild).
What is worrying, however, is the injury-related substitution of Max Finkgräfe, who will probably miss more than just the duel against Viktoria. Mark Uth, Marvin Obuz, Linton Maina and Luca Waldschmidt will also be missing.
The friendly match on Saturday afternoon will be broadcast live on fc.de and broadcast in the official Effzeh app.
