Creature Commandos executive producer has shared new details about James Gunn’s show
Creature Commandos It will be the first project of the DCU from James Gunn, so the tone of this series could be a preview of the kinds of stories we might see in the future.
The importance of Creature Commandos
During an interview with The Wrap, Creature Commandos executive producer Dean Lorey discussed the importance the animated show will have for the DCU.
“That will be the first expression of James Gunn’s DC Universe. We’re looking at that canon, and I think it expresses his perspective, tonally, on where he wants the universe to go.”
“It’s ‘Suicide Squad.’ It’s done it. People won’t be surprised by what it is, but I think they’ll be very encouraged to see how much it will influence this new version of the DC Universe, which I’m very excited about.”
The DCU series is expected to arrive in Max this December.
