Currently, no trains are running between Zwolle and Groningen due to a large fire next to the station in Groningen. The fire broke out this morning around half past eight. It is not known how long the trains will not be running. The NS reports that no trains will be running to and from Groningen until at least 11:00. As far as is known, no one has been injured. The building where the fire broke out is under construction. The station in Groningen is being renovated. A new bus station will also be built. The building under construction that has now caught fire is located near that new bus station, reports RTV Noord. The black clouds of smoke released by the fire can be clearly seen in the area.
