There was a lot of talk about the seat on Toprak’s BMW at Donington, which was raised on Saturday evening following Ducati’s clarification to the FIM. Staying on the subject of BMW and components, there was another notable modification on the Turkish rider’s M 1000 RR last weekend.
Yes, because at Donington the handlebars of the German bike were raised by 50 millimeters compared to the previous rounds. The reason is to meet Toprak’s requests, offering him greater aerodynamics when riding the BMW and at the same time better ergonomics on the bike.
With the previous version of the handlebar, Toprak tended to lean out from the windshield, thus putting a lot of weight on the front. With this new version, however, Razgatlioglu has a better position but above all a better balance of weight so as to distribute it on the rear.
This explains the reason for the raised handlebars even before the much-discussed saddle.
