Video: Dani Olmo’s miraculous save on the line that gives Spain the Euro 2024 title

In the world of football, there is nothing more valuable than a goal, although Dani Olmo’s save in the final minutes of the Euro 2024 final almost counted for one. The Spanish midfielder was one of Spain’s heroes in securing their fourth title at the tournament.

England joined the attack in the dying moments of the final, looking to equalise the score. In a heart-stopping move, goalkeeper Unai Simón appeared to deny the ball inside his area on the first occasion. On the counter-attack, Olmo put on his superhero suit to avoid the 2-2.

The third shot inside the area went over Simón’s goal.

The first header inside the box was from Declan Rice, but it was blocked by Simon. The ball was then found by Ghehi, who headed it in almost securing the equaliser, but Olmo, a giant, appeared on the line and managed to clear the ball with a header.
