How did you find the Donington track?
A really difficult track. Probably the most difficult where I have raced so far with the Superbike. A technical track with many ups and downs and with curves that follow one another and that are very demanding physically. This morning my bike was very nervous but then we tried some adjustments that went well, but I still don’t feel comfortable on the bike and we still have to improve our set-up on this track.
How is the new exhaust system you are using here at Donington?
I had already tried the new exhaust system during the tests at Misano, but honestly I didn’t notice a tangible improvement. Maybe the engineers noticed an increase in power or something else, but I didn’t notice anything different in the performance of my V4.
At the moment Razgatlioglu seems untouchable
Toprak has always been fast. He is a champion. In my opinion he is the only rider who knows how to make the most of the M1000RR. But it must also be said that BMW has done a really good job.
Would you be happy if your teammate was still Bautista next year?
I am happy with Alvaro. We work well together, although obviously everyone thinks of themselves. I would be happy if he were to stay with us, but if someone else were to arrive, they would still be welcome.
