Of the many games that areup to which have been released so far, almost all of them have a short animation when the player pulls the gacha to get a character or item. No exception with the latest game from miHoYo which was just released some time ago: Zenless Zone Zero.
Players are certainly aware that previous miHoYo games have indicators to find out whether the player has successfully drawn a rare character or weapon, which tend to be represented by elements in the form of shiny gold objects. In Zenless Zone Zero, it is the same, but also uses letters such as S, A and B to categorize the level of rarity.
But interestingly, Zenless Zone Zero also has a slightly different animation if the player gets an S-Rank character or weapon. You can check this when the animation shows the entire film reel (part three), there will be a small shake and a golden glow will appear around it.
If it is less visible or missed, the next more definite indicator is when the animation shows the television with the rank order A, B, S quickly. If this fast animation does not play, then the player fails to get S-Rank. You can check directly in full through the video compiled by YouTuber KyostinV.
Gacha music will play in a different version
One thing that is certainly worth appreciating is when you successfully get an S-Rank, the same music will be played but with the addition of hip hop vocals. There are male and female versions but with the same lyrics.
Another thing that is also quite funny is the inclusion of lyrics that read “Lucky?or not, at least you tried, Chin?up, in yourself, confide“, which seems to say don’t be sad if you lose a 50:50 rate off or don’t get the S-Rank character or weapon you want. Yes, the song directly invites you to be grateful.
For additional information, before Zenless Zone Zero, the Honkai: Star Rail game also included a slight difference in animation if you get a five-star character or weapon, which shows that the ticket appearance animation will have a blur effect and diplopia (double vision).
