Italjet, the historic Bologna-based motorcycle company, marks another step in its innovation journey with an unparalleled model that enriches the Dragster range and is about to create a category of its own: the Dragster 700 Twin. Designed on the basis of the Dragster 500GP and Dragster 559 Twin concepts presented at EICMA 2022 and 2023, the Dragster 700 Twin represents the pinnacle of innovation, Italian design and engineering. Designed at the Italjet Style Center in Castel Guelfo di Bologna, the Dragster 700 Twin boasts a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, twin-cylinder engine with double overhead camshaft and 8-valve distribution, capable of delivering 68 hp (51 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 70 Nm of torque. Its innovative 6-speed transmission represents a turning point in its category. Equipped with electronic injection, electric start and split under-seat exhaust, the Dragster 700 Twin combines the soul of a Superbike with the comfort and agility of a hyperscooter.
“Once again we have gone all out, creating a model that pays homage to internal combustion engines,” said Massimo Tartarini, President and CEO of Italjet. “Much more similar to a motorcycle than a scooter, the DRAGSTER 700 Twin creates a completely new category, ushering in a new era in the two-wheel sector.” The DRAGSTER 700 Twin, available in both the A2 and unrestricted A license versions, is scheduled to hit the market in Spring/Summer 2025.
Dragster 700 Twin will also be available in the exclusive Limited Factory Edition version, produced in just 700 units worldwide. Featuring a black/gold livery, Akrapovič exhaust system, Öhlins rear suspension and steering damper, exclusive Brembo calipers and a DucaBike clutch cover with transparent window, the Limited Factory Edition can be pre-ordered starting from Friday 12 July 2024 at 4:00 p.m. (Italian time) until stocks run out or until 10 November 2024 (the last day of EICMA 2024) on the Italjet website. Interested buyers will be able to select a production number that has a personal meaning for them.
