As one of the most popular works of fiction in history, Dragon Ball has plenty of video games under its belt; some worse and some better. Most explore the events of the manga and anime, so players are visiting familiar territory; however, it seems that one beloved game in the franchise will have content inspired by a previously unreleased series.
After much speculation, Toei Animation announced in 2023 the existence of Dragon Ball Daima, the next official anime of the saga. There are many expectations surrounding it, as it will present an incredible visual section and it is presumed to be the last project in which Akira Toriyama actively participated.
This new original series is expected to debut sometime in the fall of 2024. In the meantime, themed content will be coming to Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO as part of the first wave of downloadable content. Also, if a recent leak is to be believed, another popular video game in the franchise will adapt the story of this new show.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will receive Dragon Ball Daima content, according to a leak
We’re talking about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the hit action RPG developed by CyberConnect2 that adapts the most important moments from the anime. Since its original release in 2020, it has received a lot of downloadable content that expands the narrative and explores the events of other arcs.
Through a recent post, Bandai Namco revealed that this game has already surpassed 8 million copies sold and hinted that there will be more content in the future. Without providing any further details on the matter, it seems that a Dragon Ball Daima themed DLC is on the way.
Recently, user Josou Kitsune performed a datamining exercise and dug into the internal files of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot after the debut of the latest update. One discovery surprised the community. Specifically, the screenshots show a line of code that apparently refers to a narrative chapter that will be based on the new anime that will debut in the fall of 2024.
It looks like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will have a Dragon Ball Daima DLC
The file is named “Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Extra Episode: Daima (Part 1),” so it seems that the role-playing video game is preparing to receive content that will be based on the new story of the animated show. It is important to note that this information is not confirmed.
Finally, the leak suggests that Bandai Namco will be adding something that roughly translates to Skyseed Platform, though it’s unknown at this time what that might be.
As for Dragon Ball Daima, Toei Animation confirmed that there will be news at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 taking place from July 25 to 28, 2024. New plot details will likely be revealed, and even another trailer will be shown.
But tell us, would you like to see a DLC focused on the next anime in the franchise? Let us know in the comments.
